World Environment Day

For this self-initiated and fictional challenge, the United Nations sought an artist to create a visually compelling piece that promotes World Environment Day, emphasizing a powerful quote about climate change. The goal was to communicate key themes like environmental sustainability, activism, global awareness, urgency, unity, and earth preservation, all while engaging a diverse audience ranging from global citizens to policymakers and environmental activists.
The solution was to create a hand-lettering piece in a square format to be used digitally across various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials. Drawing inspiration from handmade protest signs, I crafted a design that feels raw and urgent, capturing the intensity and immediacy of the climate crisis. The rough, hand-made aesthetic mirrors the activism signs often seen in climate movements, making the artwork relatable and impactful. This approach aims to resonate deeply with the target audience, driving home the critical need for collective action to address climate change and preserve our planet.
