I’m Micaela Maltinti
a graphic designer specialised in lettering and typography who loves telling stories through custom drawn letters. By combining art with strategic thinking, I create lettering pieces that not only look beautiful but also effectively communicate the right message to your audience while attending details and technicalities.
I found my love for letters while studying for the Graphic Design Diploma. During that time, I was also a teaching assistant in all typography subjects. These experiences, plus extra courses and workshops taken with top calligraphers, lettering artists and type designers, allowed me to deepen my knowledge of letters, their forms, construction, and history.
With 8+ years of experience, both as a freelance and in-house designer, I have a strong foundation in visual solutions and a keen eye for detail. I am able to understand unique challenges and deliver outstanding work combining both technical and artistic skills, within schedule, budget and technical requirements.
Being empathetic and detail-oriented allows me to collaborate closely with teams and clients like you, achieving results that not only look stunning but also effectively tackle your goals and communicate your message to your desired audience.
I work with international clients around the globe, across diverse industries such as Design Studios, Advertising Agencies, Publishing Houses, among others. I am always keen to new challenges, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Some Other Facts About Me
⋄ Born and raised in Argentina, I am both Italian and Argentinian.
⋄ I moved to Germany in 2021. Moving to Australia in 2025, embracing the digital nomad life.
⋄ Spanish is my native language. I also speak English, Italian, and a little German.
⋄ After graduating as a designer, I graduated from the University-Led Design Professor Training. Which allows me to be a design professor in university.
⋄ My passion for structures and innate organising skills, lead me to get a Google Project Management Certificate.
⋄ In order to understand more about user experience and design in the digital era, I have also studied User Experience and User Interface Design.
⋄ I am part of an amazing community of lettering artists and illustrators called Big Ampersand, created by Martina Flor and her team.
⋄ When I am not designing, you can find me either eating, reading, travelling, or eating again.
⋄ I am fully proficient working in an environment full of cats.
