This project was part of a spooky and fun lettering challenge for October, designed to create original Halloween-themed content for social media. The task was to craft a lettering piece that captures a lettering artist’s worst nightmare—phrases like “The client wants it done in Comic Sans” or “You forgot to save”—infused with classic Halloween iconography and eerie colour palettes. The goal was to engage fellow lettering artists and designers who relate to these creative struggles while celebrating the Halloween spirit. The final design had to be optimised for social media.

As a solution, I created a lettering piece featuring an original phrase that resonates with the target audience, blending humour and horror into a design that fully embraces the Halloween theme. Drawing on eerie colour schemes typical of the season— oranges, purples, and greens—I incorporated textures and details that evoke a spooky and bewitched atmosphere. The letterforms, with spikes and bifurcated serifs, hint at a monster-like vibe, enhancing the overall tone. This approach combined the playful and chilling aspects of Halloween, resulting in a design that captivates and connects with the creative community
