Overview

Context

Josefina and Marcos wanted their wedding to reflect who they are as a couple. They were looking for a visual system that could express their story, their style, and the atmosphere they envisioned for the celebration.

The goal was to create something classic and minimal, yet warm and personal. My role was to translate their identity as a couple into a structured system that could guide every visual detail of the event.

Challenge

The Need

They knew what they loved, but not how to bring it together visually. There was no defined direction for invitations, signage, or digital communication.

They decided to invest in a cohesive identity to create a thoughtful and immersive experience for their guests. The intention was to make every detail feel connected and intentional.

Solution

Approach + Execution

The core concept centred on union and timeless romance. Inspired by their love for wine, nature, and classic aesthetics, the identity blends traditional elegance with subtle warmth. References such as vintage mirror frames helped shape the refined visual direction.

At the centre of the system is a custom lettered monogram formed by their intertwined initials within a circular composition. The script style draws inspiration from handwritten love letters, symbolising commitment and closeness. This expressive lettering was paired with a traditional serif typeface and a soft handwritten font to balance structure and intimacy.

The colour palette was inspired by the wedding location, an old winery. Muted greens, warm whites, and tones reminiscent of olive oils created a natural and elegant atmosphere. The identity was designed to function both digitally and physically, allowing seamless application across invitations, signage, menus, stickers, hats, and a dedicated wedding website.

Outcome

Result + Reflection

The final identity gave Josefina and Marcos a visual language that truly represented their story. It brought clarity to every design decision and allowed their celebration to feel cohesive and intentional.

Guests noticed the level of detail and left with meaningful souvenirs featuring the monogram. For the couple, seeing their relationship translated into a tangible and beautifully structured system made the experience even more special.

“We are absolutely delighted with the final result of the project. Micaela understood each of our ideas perfectly and knew how to translate them into something truly special.

Throughout the process, she also brought valuable contributions that later became meaningful details for our special day.

The process itself was clear and very professional, which gave us realistic expectations and a clear vision from the start.

We will definitely work with Micaela again in the future. Her professionalism and passion for design are exceptional.”
